Rules of the Game

Let's Dink is played with two teams, each consisting of one player (singles) or two players (doubles).

The Game starts by 1 team hitting the ball to the board that is placed next to the opponents.

Players attempt to dink the ball back and forth while attempting to make the ball into the holes. The ball can hit either the board or the ground.

Once the ball goes into a hole the team that hits it gets the points and a new round starts.

The ball cannot be hit out of the air if it is falling above the board, if it is clearly short or going over the player can attempt to hit it out of the air rather than letting it bounce.

If the ball bounces in front of the board then bounces or rolls into a hole those points count. In this case the team can block or stop the ball from going in.

If the ball bounces awkwardly off the board or off the ground the player can grab the ball and start a new round.

When the ball does bounce awkwardly off the board it is fair game anyone can grab it and start a new round.

If the ball bounces and ends up under one of the boards it is the team's ball that is standing at that board.

Scoring

Game starts with serving.

The player serving should say “0-0 Let’s Dink”!

On the serve the ball must be dropped on the board or ground next to you and hit to the corresponding board if the ball goes in the first hole you get 3 points and the middle hole 2 points. The last hole is not open on the serve.

② Points are awarded when you dink the ball into a hole of the board across from you and it stays in that hole.

Once the ball goes into a hole add that to your score and the opponents start a new round and they should announce the score before serving.

If the ball happens to go in one hole then bounce in another hole you only get the points from the hole it ends up staying in.

Play to 11 must win by 2

Cancellation Scoring: If you do clearly hit a ball out of the air that would have hit the board 1 point is deducted and the ball goes to the other team to start the serve.
